CONTRIBUTORS FAQ What kind of files should I upload? The uploader will only accept files ending in ".jpg" How large should each file be? The bigger the better, but each jpg file should be around 1Mb and must be under 2Mb. For more technically specific requirements see below. Horizontal or Vertical format images? Because most computer screens use a horizonal format (ie. the images are wider than they are tall), we ask contributors to upload only horizonally formated images. How can my art space contribute the Collective ICA? Contributions to the Collective ICA are by invitiation, however we're open to suggestion. Please email with your ideas. Can you give me more technically specific info re image size? Yes, well, sort of. The thing is screen sizes vary, so we're aiming to download bigish files to accomodate any size. The goal however, is not to slow down the computer of people using the Collective ICA program. That said, if you save a 2592 x 1944 pixels image (a fairly standard size) at 72 dpi using "High" or "High/Medium" jpg compression you should end up with a file size of around 1mb.
